Deacon slept in his crate the first month we had him. By 3 months he made the transition to the bed. He's 17 weeks old now and has only had one accident in the bed. That was at 14 weeks and my fault for letting him sleep when I came to bed instead of taking him out at midnight like I always do.

With the time change he has started getting up at 6:30AM which is starting to run his parents a bit ragged. I've tried keeping him awake an extra hour at nights but it doesnt seem to have any effect on him. 6:30 every day, he wakes up and starts bouncing around on the bed.

Well, we never did get them to sleep in the kennels, my hubby just couldn't/wouldn't sleep thru the noise for as long as it took. So basically they sleep wherever and with who ever they want to. Usually on couch or chairs in living room. They would LOVE to sleep with us, and I really wouldn't mind, but we are sharing a dble bed, not even a queen size, and I am not a tiny person, so two big ol dogs and a big ol mama and a regular size ol man, just don't fit...and we have tried...lol.

Oh, of course Scrapper sleeps with the rest of the pack in our king-sized bed sleepicon My hubby wakes up in the middle of the night and rotates him so he is oriented head to footboard and always says, "North-South, Scrapper - not East-West!"

Sleep in a dog crate!!!!

Not a chance of tango sleeping outside in his crate.
We even bought him a dog basket to sleep on in our room, but Tango still sneaks up onto the bed, gets between my hubby and myself , pushes with his back against me and pushes his legs against my hubby at the same time to get plenty of room (bearing in mind that this is a kingsize bed). Once he is comfortable he rolls onto his back puts his four legs in the air and starts to snore. Now thats what he calls paradise!!! :D

Oh boy, sounds like our house! Beasley sleeps with us in a FULL SIZE bed (and at 6'3" my boyfriend's feet are hanging over the end) and pulls the same 'push out' move! He snores and 'harumphs' all night long like a little old man. I've woken up and discovered Beasley underneath the covers with his head on the pillow and my boyfriend asleep on the floor with Beasley's pillow and blankie! What a mooch! wackicon

This sounds like Tyson. He likes to snuggle right next to me so when I get up to go the bathroom usually he is in my place. I have to grab him by all four legs and drag him back across the bed. He just opens one eye and looks at me and goes rright back to sleep. :p

Laila is 13 weeks today and so far we've been able to keep her, mostly, in the crate in our bedroom at night. We had to get a small one to put in our room because she HATED to sleep in the one downstairs at night and it's way too big to have in our room.

She lays on the bed, in between us, under the covers with her head on the pillow - ;) , until we're ready to go to sleep & then we put her in the crate. I don't know what we'll do when she outgrows this one (it's her second small one). I'm going to try to get her a dog bed & hope she sleeps in that. But we all know she'll probably end up in the bed with us. It's hard to resist her. :)

When Riley was a pup, he slept in his crate in our room, but my oldest daughter wanted him to sleep with her, so we put his crate in her room (yes, he is 6.5 and LOVES his crate still, we don't close the door anymore) now, he usually shoves his way up on her bed, 70 pounds of Boxer - 80 pounds of kid on a twin bed!

They both love it!!

Popcorn started out on the floor with the bedroom door shut and did great. That only lasted till Chewy came along and then they both started sleeping with me but i still keep the door shut. I try not to give them opportunity to be micheivious;)

Popcorn likes to sleep with her head on the pillow and snuggled up in my armpit and loves to be under the covers. Chewy likes to snuggle by my feet so at least they are not fighting for the same spot, but that queen bed can still seem awful small :)
