My little 7 month old Jack has been eating Natural (Nutro) choice large breed puppy since we got him. But now it seems like a 40 lb. bag does not last as long. Also when i do feed him he seems to be hungry about an hour later. When should I get him on adult food. Plus I love this brand I ave never had a problem with him eating it. No gas. Does anyone know a good flavor he might like in this brand.

Thanks Cortney

7 months is plenty old to switch to adult food. I'd also recommend removing him from large breed dog food. Boxers are medium size dogs and don't benefit from large breed foods :)

I used to feed Markus, Nutro's Natural before I switched him to raw. If I recall, according to the bag and his weight, the large breed food was appropriate for his size. It really all depends on the size of your dog. Your dog is still a puppy and as you don't know how big he is going to grow, I would feed regular food and you can always switch him to large breed food later if necessary.

Markus liked the chicken and rice. He always quite happily ate it and I never had to dress it up to get him to eat.

Nutro's is not the best, but it's not bad. I would feed the best that you can afford.
