When do puppy's stop being wimps?

I think it all depends on the dog... some dogs don't grow out of it and with some you just wake up one day and the wimpyness is gone.
I wouldn't worry to much, like you said she's a puppy and she'll get used to the noise and things that scare her.

My two year old male still hasn't outgrown it. He was well socialized as a pup, met a lot of new people, went to tons of places and what not, but he is just a gentle giant. We were at Home Depot on Sunday and a man was like oh how cute and called his name. Tugg, being the big boy he is came around and hid behind my legs. Well everyone got a kick out of this and he poked his head around my legs so he could see what everyone was chuckling at. This same man walked around us so he could sit in a chair and Tugg walked between my legs and placed himself smack in the middle so that I could protect him. This put everyone in stitches. I swear if he could, he would climb into me to protect him!
