We are having trouble finding a ball that Lucy does not completely destroy in the back yard.
We bought a child's soccer ball and she ate the leather covering off while trying to figure out how to pick it up and then punctured the ball with her teeth.
Please help!! She loves to play with and chase balls, but I can't find one that she doesn't eat.

Thanks!

Petsmart used to have (and may still have) a hard plastic ball that you could open and fill with partially with water to cause it to be off-balance. My first boxer loved it (he liked to pop balls and this was indestructable...hey that was the name of it! IndestructaBall!) He would go crazy in the yard with it--rolling it all over the place and barking at it! It drove him wild and it was impossible to destroy! Honest!

*we bought the larger size which made it more of a challenge for Norton and he could tackle it a bit and get it really rolling!

This site has them, I also found other sites with Indestructiballs--but the ones with that exact name could not be filled with water, etc to weight them and make them roll crazy--which is half the fun!

Daisy loves to play with an old volleyball. It is regular size one and it is just soft enough for her to get her teeth in to pick it up. She is only 5 months so she probably isn't strong enough to tear it apart yet. She loves to tackle it and roll (she lands on her face) When she comes running up with it, it looks as big as she is.

For ABBY, I went to Wal-Mart and bought a junior sized, fake basket-ball.
(paid less than $10.00 for it) They're made out of thick rubber and just about indestructible. Once I got home, I deflated a little bit of the air out of it. I gave it to her and away she went. She hasn't torn it up yet and she's had it for about six months. (Oh, but please, if your Boxers are anything like ABBY is, stay away from the balls that are made out of Nerf. I learned why the hard way.).

I just bought the ball for Buddy. Maybe he'll stop trying to play with my exercise ball! It's as big as he is and he hates me working out on it. I can turn him loose in the yard with his ball now.

Rogue has a tennis ball that has survived. There are some crappy tennis balls that last all of 5 seconds, if that.

She also has a hard rubber ball the same size as a tennis ball. :)
