What tricks can your Boxer preform?

How did you teach high five? I would love that!

How did you teach him to close the door? We are trying to work on that one now! Any hints would be appreciated.

I got jackson to do "door" by standing outside the door. He would be excited to get inside and wait for me to push it open. I wouldn't, i would make him push it while saying the command "door" every time we were outside. so now he knows "door" means to push on it with his paw and it will move. once you get the hang of pushing the door open on command, you can translate it to pushing it closed. hope that helps. it worked with Jackson, that's all I know!

Lola can do the sit/stay/paw/lay down etc but her best trick is one common to the boxer breed.....................the trick of making anyone fall in love with her within 5 minutes

How did you teach him to close the door? We are trying to work on that one now! Any hints would be appreciated.

I would stand beside him with the door open and tell him the command "Door" and while I was saying the command I would manually put his paw on the door and push. After this I would praise him and love on him. It didn't take too long for him to figure out what I meant. It also helped when I showed him the spot on the door where he needed to put his paw.

Now I can't keep the door open. It is so funny b/c if I am carrying in groceries or something he will try to close the door on me. Always ready for a treat, that's my boy!!:D

Sammi does sit, up (paws on chest), get down (from the bed), who is it? (goes to door), use the stairs (we had to get her to stop diving into the pool and getting a mouthful of water, so we got her to "use the stairs", she comes to find me to tell me she's got to go outside, and the best is...she can count to 2 and 1/2...if you want her to do something (or stop doing something), I count, 1...2...2 and 1/2, and she stops. My hubby has tried 1, 2, 3 but the 3 doesn't work!!! LOL Too funny.

All I have to say to Lucy is Light and she will jump up and pull the string on the light and either turn it on or turn it off.. It's great when I'm too lazy to get up

R.J. can:
sit, down, stay, off, up, come, speak, sing (woo woo), shake, gimme five, other paw, bang bang (this is the funniest), dog catcher trick, leave it (on paw), kisses, hugs, crawl, fetch, and we are working on sneezing on command.

Iris has this uncanny gift for burrowing under many layers of blankets. She then moves around a lot, twisting them and making them into a big mountainous heap... all while remaining in the center of it. But the REAL trick is this... (and I'm still not quite sure how she does it...) when she is finished with her "under-the-heap-of-blankets" nap, she is somehow able to slide off of the bed, walk through the hallway, then into the living room... WITH ALL OF THE BLANKETS STILL PILED ON TOP OF HER!
It's truly amazing. She looks like giant blanket monster.
