What to expect with neuter and spay?

I called around about the ACE and every vet here uses it and has for over 25 years and supposedly never had any problems. I asked if I could request it not be used and they said it is standard they do it to all of them. So I guess with no other choices I have to go through with it.

Where in IN are you located? There are a few vets in our area that do not use it. The vet I use for x-rays normally uses Ace but agreed not to on my Boxers.

I would not settle for a vet who insists on using Ace. I'd rather drive out of my area then pay a vet to give my dog something I specifically asked them not to.
