I was walking Foreman on a leash past a house when a dog (could be a boxer cross) came out Foreman of course wanted to play and was waiting the dog to get to him the dog sniffed foreman and then tried to attack him as soon as he did I didn't know the dogs name but I said a firm No and said go on and he did! I don't have a fear of dogs and I know that most dogs must be used to some authority he just went back up the driveway. Had I screamed or panicked I don't know what would happened.

I agree with Foreman's Mom this is something I will have to work on this b/c IM sure I will eventually come across a situation and I have to try not to show fear. I just wish people would keep there dogs on leashes it would aleviate alot of problems.

I hate when people feel there dogs are beyond a leash. I have always been scared of big dogs I do not know so I would probably poop my pants with two running at me. There is a guy up the block who lets his dog rome around his front yard off the leash, MY DH encountered the dog while bringing Dutchess for a walk and said the dog is a nice size but harmless, Now I am afraid to walk Dutchess past that house big chicken that I am.

This is a huge problem in my neighborhood. I have had dogs run up to us when we were out walking, sometimes with neighbors running behind them and sometimes with owners nowhere to be found. I get very frustrated by people's lack of respect for something as simple as a leash law.

I have this problem every day when Rufus and I go for walks. We have a lot of dogs that are just left out to run the neighborhood during the day. We actually encountered this little yappy dog this morning while we were walking, he came running out to us and growling and the owner was in the driveway. She just called his name and told him to stay home then drove off with the dog in the road. She then glared at me while she was driving off as if my dog had done something wrong. I get really aggravated at these dog owners that just let their dog out with no leash and no supervision.

I really could not imagine going out and leaving my dog loose so many things could happen. We live in the country and are on a dead end street my last dog would never leave the property but I still would never just leave him out unsupervised so many things could happen.

I agree with the leash laws as I see everyone does, Even if I knew as Dutchess got older that she would not go anywhere if I left her alone around the front of the house I would never do it for fear of #1 her being robbed, #2 her running into the street and getting hit by a car. I think people sometimes are so irresponsible, Not all b/c out of all the houses when I walk around the block it is only one house, You know what they say about that one bad apple.
