What to do

I have a problem with Napoleon (11 mths) I would like to put an immediate stop to. He can't stand anybody else to get any attention.

He will bark, growl, jump around, woo-woo, etc to get attention.
Even negative attention. He is okay until Sandy (3.5 yrs) gets attention. If she gets even a little he will bark and growl, even nip at her. She gets right back at him and usually puts him on the floor but he comes right back. She is definately the alph between them. I have put a leash on him and made him sit when he starts this but it just seems to aggrevate him more. I have also tried to ignore him but it is very hard when he is biting at you. When we are not petting her they are the best of buddies. He is quiet larger than her and I am afraid he is going to hurt her.

We make sure he gets lots of love and one on one time but it doesn't seem to be enough.

Any suggestions on stopping this?

I dont have any suggestions for that but curious to what people say, I have the same problem with my two, Lucy (the boxer 11 mos also) cant stand it when patch (3) gets some lovin', she will bite his legs and bark also. And she gets plenty of attention she probably gets more than patch anymore since she is the pup and thats why i try to give patch lovin by himself. It is probably very common (I hope) and would also like to know how to fix it cause patch is turning into a grumpy old man LOL

I have that we both have the problem but I am glad I am not alone.
Napoleon is also turning into a grouch at times. He very much wants things his way. We think he was abused as a small pup. We have only had him 5 months and he has improved tremendously. He was very hard to handle when we first got him. Now he loves to be touched and loved on. Maybe a little to much. LOL.

Maybe somebody will have some suggestions.

He is okay if you are just loving on him. It is when you love on Sandy that he gets all bent out of shape. You can tell, he wasn't ever loved on as a puppy so we try to hug him and pet him alot. Sandy has always been loving.
We just can't give her all the attention she needs when he is around.
