What to do?

My Sarge has deep creases on his face by his eyes and they are red and irritated. I clean them often but they just dont seem to get better for long. anyone else having this problem?
Any suggestions would sure help thanks!

What about putting in a bit of ointment, just a little to keep it moist so it doesn't get dried out?

Why are they red and irritated? Just having creases shouldn't cause that sort of problem... Is there an underlying cause such as constantly weeping eyes, or does he have a yeast problem or something like that? If it's possible to narrow down cause, then it's easier to come up with a solution (hopefully one that solves the problem, rather than just making the symptoms easier to bear).

Bacterial/yeast infection comes to mind as a possibility. Maybe caused by allergies of some sort. Your vet can test for this.

Brutus has allergies and his eye's drain clear almost every day. It irritates the creases on his face. And it makes his face very dry. I use bag balm. Just a little dab on each side rubbed in daily keeps his face moist and the tears don't bother him.
