Hi, I am currently trying to crate train my dog. I have small carring crate that I have been using which is perfect for his size now since he is just a little fellow. Even though he hates and goes wild when I put him in he needs to get use to it. I am wanting to go ahead a puchase a large crate that he can use now and use when he is fully grown. What size would you recommend for a fully grown boxer? Granted he is a puppy now but I will block of the rest of the crate until he is large. So what size and what brand would you recommend? Thanks

I asked this same thing about 2 months ago. After many recommendations, I purchased the 42" Life Stages crate that comes with the adjustable divider so you can expand the crate as needed. I got mine from ebay as the prices were much cheaper.
Hope this helps.

Beau is in a 32" metal crate that my dad used for his lab for years. I don't know what brand it is, but I think the metal ones generally last longer, because pups can't chew on them.

I broke down and bought Sally a crate yesterday. So far she doesn't care for it too much. I ended up getting one from Walmart that's a "Large" - I believe it's 32" tall.

I would get whatever crated you decide on, on ebay, with shipping and the cost of the crate, it was still 30-30 dollars cheaper through ebay (it was the same brand as in petsmart, and brand new)

I would suggest getting a 30-40 inch crate, and make sure it has a divider, so you can adjust the size of the crate for your puppy (you need to give them just enough space to lay down in, or they will potty in the cage, as puppies)

I have the midwest that is 36" long. Dee Dee is only about 55lbs though. If she were any bigger (and I had room for it) I would want the 42".

I got the chrome finish, and after a year it is really corroded at the front of the crate where all of the water/boogers/etc end up. Perhaps the black finish holds up better.
