Mastiff and Boxer

Izzy our mastiff got Max our boxer as a playmate. They are 2 years apart in age, but love each other. They are completely inseprerable. Out of all the breeds that I've had over the years, these 2 are the best match that I've had. They both have the same fun loving temperment and I couldn't ask for anything else from them. They are also great with our 2 year old as Connor and Max are best friends. A great way for both of them to get all of their energy out.

We have a male American Bulldog to accompany our Boxer. They are 2 peas in a pod!
I would go with a male whatever the choice. I've just heard having a male and female as opposed to a female/ female is easier... IMHO :)

We have English Springer Spaniels

and they get along well with boxers. More of a medium sized dog, with an activity level not quite that of a boxer, but active enough to keep up!
Good luck

Rottie and Boxer

We have a 1 yr old rottweiler- Roxy and a 5 month old boxer- Sadie.

They are the best of friends and get along famously.

As far as dominance goes, the boxer ends up standing over top of the rottweiler who lays on the floor with her head on her paws looking up at her.

They are a great match for taking on walks or lounging around on our bed at night.

Completely Boxer Crazy
I have 2 Boxers and wanted another but didn't have enough room (or so my husband says) in the house. So I did some research and ended up getting a Boston Terrier. He gets along so well with my boxers. Its like Bostons and Boxers were meant to be together. They are very much like a Boxer in temperment and activity level, only they come in a smaller package. They are also very sturdy and strong and I don't worry about my big guys hurting him. You can see some pics in my gallery! I say go Bostons!!!

Boxer Buddy
I have a 3 yr old shih tzu and him and my boxer get along really well. They play all the time and are constantly running around wrestling and everything. Harley (shih tzu) thinks he is boxer and has as much energy as Duchess (boxer).

Super Boxer
We have a shih tzu also - they get along ok...but they did not grow up together...

Actually I would recommend another boxer. I've never seen Bailey get along with any other breed better :)

Just my opinion, and if I could I would definitely get another boxer :D

Big Windsor

Boxer Pal
i have seen many boxer play with many other dogs and be very happy but the most fun i have seen any boxer have was playing with a pitbull at a friends house so a pitbull or similar breed such as a staffordshire or possibly a mastiff or other bull type breed but my personal choice would definetly be the amarican pitbull terrrier... possibly the best all around breed however not a great guard dog as they are even bigger sucks than boxers.

I'm going to second the pit bull recommendation.

It's true some have dog aggression problems, but it's not hard at all to find ones that do not. My boy (albeit not a Boxer) gets on GREAT with my girlfriends pit bull. He bothers her, she bothers him, it's like they're a brother and sister ;).

In fact, most decent rescue organizations can set you up with a non-dog aggressive pit, and it would be inexpensive.

Boxer Buddy
speedway at my house

We have a G Shephard two months older then our new baby girl Boxer. Our Shephard tended to be dominant with other male dogs but he and Emma love to play together. When they get in the mood our house becomes a speedway and they do laps. We have to watch them together right now just because Emma likes to play rough and neither one of them know any better. Emma loves to go in Auggie's, our shepherd, cage to sleep. We initially tried to get them to eat out of seperate bowls to keep Auggie from feeling territorial but neither one of them would have it. They share everything and play all the time. Of course Auggie pottie trained a lot quicker, 2 wks. compared to still not. ;-)
