What music does your boxer listen to?

When our three guys are at home alone in their crates I like to leave the radio or TV on. But then I always wonder what they like to listen to? Should I leave it on the station we listen to at home and in the car? Usually I end up putting it on news-talk radio so they listen to humans babble all day. Or I leave the TV on low volume because we watch TV in the evenings and I figure it is a familiar sound to them. What do you leave for your boxers to listen to?

P.S. Oh yes, and sometimes I phone home and leave messages on the machine so they can hear me talking to them Mark thinks I'm nuts. It's kind of funny to listen to my "doggy talk" voice on the machine when I get home. Geez, I can be sappy!

I don't think it matters what kind of music Nikki listens to. She's more of a tv junky, hehe. But I do notice when my husband is playing jazz music, Nikki starts to become very relaxed.

I just leave the radio on for mine.....about leaving messages, I know it makes us feel better, but apparently it can be pretty stressful for our pups and may cause seperation anxiety when they hear our voices on the phone but don't see us.

Bailey likes to hear me sing!! he he. I know it sounds weird, but you know when you are sitting watching tv or what ever and a good song comes on you start singing. Well, Bailey comes up to me and lays her little head on my shoulder and falls asleep. Serious!! he he.

Really??? When my terrier was suffering from separation anxiety when we first adopted him several people encouraged me to phone home and talk to him through the day to soothe him. It would be interesting to video tape them and see what they do when they hear our voices.

So I have read...there is a thread about it and Tulsa-Dan advises that you should never call your dog as it causes anxiety. I imagine it would be confusing for our dogs to hear us, then look for us only to find nothing. I imagine that would stress them out.

they get some slow music, some fast and some news!!!! and it's what they hear most when i'm home or when we're in the car so i figure they're used to it!!!
they seem to be fine with it!!!!!!
