Responding to What to feed your puppy
I have a 1 year old brindle boxer, Alexis. The breeder that I bought Alexis from had her dogs on Diamond. I can relate to the pooing frequently! The breeder did give me a small bag to bring home with Alexis, once home I found that by mixing the diamond (which is a co-op brand from large feed store) with the Iams brand she did wonderful, and made it allot easier to get her off of diamond. She loves it. Diamond is a really rich dog food that is why your ending up with the pooing often. It is usually formulated toward older dogs for their coat. I bought the yellow bag of iams made for large breed (mini chunks) untill she was old enough to eat the large chunks. Other wise they have a tendance of trying to eat it really fast. My next door neighbor is our vet as well and recommends it. Most people don't know this but eukanuba is made by the Iams company or visa versa. My boxer hated eukanuba and would not take to it at all. I tried a small trial bag. She would not touch it with a ten foot pole. Although my friends dog loved it. Now that Alexis is a year old I have switched to the Green bag of iams made for large breed. I also in the mornings I mix a 1/2 can of the soft iams chicken & rice with a cup of the dry. then in the evenings just dry. She goes once in the mornings and once in the evenings. I hope this is of some help to you. Good Luck with your new baby.
