Ok people, I need some inspiration. There are only 37 more shopping days until Christmas and I will probably only have about 5 of them off from work, if I am lucky. Even worse, I haven't started any shopping for my skin or fur kids ( uh-oh there is no panic icon, LOL)I want to get some good stuff for both of my boxer boys, but there are sooo many things to choose from! I need some inspiration and any advice is appreciated. Any early bird shoppers out there that already have their shopping done? What did you find?

I'm in the same boat, Meadvillemom. So I'll be interested to see what others have gotten. All I have so far is a cow and a pig pull toy that makes noise. But I ordered that and it hasn't come in. I think Karma will get the pig in her stocking bc she's my little piggy - eats like one, snorts like one, and uses her "snout" in the dirt like one.

Okay this totally freaked me out!! I knew Christmas was getting close but the limited shopping days left is causing a panic here

To be honest, I have NO idea what they are getting this year. Usually by now I have seen something for them that I know they just have to have, but this year, thus far it appears it is the same old same old. I am going to check out the doggy boutique downtown (hopefully next week) and if they don't have anything different no one will.

I too will be waiting to see if anyone has any neato ideas.

I hate shopping for Christmas I never know what to get and I have nothing done. I do have a good idea of what Gazou will be getting:
-new collar and leash, (Harley Davidson, new beige model)looks really good on him and maybe 2 sets, there is a new line at Petsmart that are all grey/white and black, if they end up with leashes, I will also get a set.
-new bed I haven't decided yet but I am looking around.
-new harness for the car
-toys of course but I don't have one in particular that I really want to get for him.
-of course he will also have his stocking, I plan on filling it with eatible goodies and a few squeeky toys.
He also has a Santa suit but he will get to wear that before xmas for pictures so it doesn't count.

What I suggest:

-kong nice variety for the hard chewers that don't get to have squeaky toys, they usually come out with Xmas colors green and white
-Hollee-rollee ball, wonderful toy Gazou loves!!!
-For puppies or not strong chewers, canvas toys they really hold up well
-new set of bowls, there are lovely ceramics designs out there.
-sweater, to keep them boxers warm
-booties, for walk on the street to protect from the salt
-Another toy that is fun for outdoor play is a soccer ball with rope attached, got 2 love them
-special cookies, treats they don't get everyday (Three dog bakery for example)
-buy a cook book so you can make a yummy recipe as a gift or get a recipe from the forum here
-special Xmas collar, with or without bells
-new bed or cushion

Ok that is about all I can think of for now.

Has anyone seen Christmas Stockings with Boxers on them???I want some for my pups but haven't seen them. I saw some beautiful ones in a catalog (the embroidered ones) but they only had labs and goldens and stuff.
PLease someone tell me if you have found them and where???
I'm with all of you and totally not prepared for Christmas!

He usually get a giant, "talking" stuffed toy each year. He's had a frog and a duck, so I'm not sure what the next one will be.

My problem gift is for my boxer's "cousin" - my parents, my sister, and I all have boxers, so the dogs give each other gifts for Christmas. My sister's boxer is one who destroys almost all toys, so it's always a challenge to find something that will last more than a few minutes with him. Any suggestions?

I don't think that is corny at all. I make Gazou's cookies already so I am probably going to try a recipe he hasn't had yet to make for Xmas. We had a boxer badh here close to Halloween and gave out "trick or treat" bags to all the dogs with my cookies in them!! I think that is a great christmas gift idea.

KJZMOM: You're welcome, I love giving the suggestions, but when it comes to me actually going shopping, I am at a loss! however I have found that is now only applicable to humans. Gazou will be happy no matter what because mommy is giving him a surprise! I love the look on his face when I say that!lovicon
