Dozer was born on May 30th 04 so he is almost 5 month's old. We saw a guy the other day with a female who is a year old but dozer was way Bigger than she was... I know females are usually smaller than males but is this that normal. Dozer weighs almost 40 lbs and has gotten Huge in the last 2 month's!

What is the biggest size weight and age ratios that you all have seen?

BTW The guy seem's like he takes really good care of his girl.

Our pup, Diesel, was born on June 24th and as of Saturday weighs 45 lbs. He has been gaining about 5 pounds per week for the last 5-6 weeks. We are TOTALLY amazed by how fast he is growing. When my husband took him to the vet 3 weeks ago, he said he was one of the largest boxer pups he'd seen. He told us to put him on Puppy Chow for Large Breeds, which we have done. It's not slowing his growth down at all!! He goes back to the vet this Friday, so we'll see what the vet says this time! He eats twice a day and it's not what I would call "too much", so I guess he's just going to be BIG! His father was very big - right at 100 lbs. His mom was smaller - 75 -80 lbs. I looked under someone's posting of wieghts and ages of boxers, but Diesel is much bigger than most of the dogs listed.

My baby must be small, at 21 months old she's only 53 lbs. I've always wondered what is the average weight for males and females. You always read the sizes they should be in books but it usually seems to vary so much from that.

I just seen the other post with ages and weights I guess my Jade is kinda close to average for a female.

Otis is about 43 pounds at 6 months old. He has slowed down a bit on the growing, the first couple months we had him he grew fast!

I have always heard females are 60-80 lbs and males 70-90 pounds. I do know a full grown female that is only 55 lbs and very healthy and a male that weighs 110 but he is definately fat from lack of exercise.

At 5 months old my female is 36 lbs and her sister is 41 lbs. My 2 yr old male is 87 lbs.

I looked on the American Boxer Club site and the AKC site. According to their Standard the boxer is a MEDIUM Size Breed. Males being 22 1/2 to 25" at withers and 65-80lbs. Females 21 to 23 1/2" at withers and 15lbs Less than Males.

I have one of each. My Female is 2yrs 3months old and 48lbs and is all muscle. She is Small but she comes from a great line and fits the standard well as far as her head, topline, rear etc.
My male is a rescue about 2yrs 6months old and he is 80lbs. He is not fat but he is definately not breed well. His topline, rear, muzzle etc do not fit standard. He is also very tall.

I love them both, they are such nuts. Although I have to say its a big difference when 80lbs steps on my toes as opposed to 48lbs.

Keno will be 5 mos on the 18th of this month (born may 18th) and he now weighs about 45 lbs...the other day at Petsmart we saw a one year old female who only weighed 40 lbs and was quite a bit shorter then Keno..but I know that females don't get as big as males, so it wasn't too surprising to us...
To look at Keno you wouldn't think that he weighs almost 50 lbs, but when you pick him up you know it ! His chest is really getting big and his legs are getting longer...we call him our little bambi because he's all legs and is still awkward on them  ;)

My male BooBoo is now 3-1/2 years old at 25" tall and 75#... no longer a lap dog...

My female Courage is 1-/12 years old at 22" tall and 58#... and I think she has stopped growing... although she still looks so tiny compared to her big brother... but I think 58 is probably a good weight for her.
