You know I read these posts laughing of course thinking how awful it must be. My bf thinks Lucy is bad, well compared to what I see on here, she is nothing  I will take a few chewed up books and a shoe here and there and other misc stuff any day to furniture eating. That is why she is crated when we are not home, i got sick of finding fire ant killer dragged all over the floor (thankfully not eaten), my books and even better her training books and boxer books tore up. Ah but that face, how can you be mad at that face

Hogan is almost 2 now and training has really helped in this area, but he still gets all these things in his mouth and drags them off: Fortunately he listens to "DROP IT" and we haven't totally lost anything valuable lately.

a baby bird
socks
firewood
instruction manuals for various appliances
slippers
sneakers
leather work gloves
throw pillows
throw rugs
empty plastic containers
bees
lightning bugs
shop towels
cardboard boxes

Hilda taught Hogan that it is much more fun to unstuff the toys rather than eating the stuffing, so he spits it out for us.

Ellie and Tatie ate a wild mushroom last week. I caught Ellie with it in her mouth in the backyard (had only stepped inside for a soda) and Tatie was sitting next to her. I called the vet (we had just returned from the vet getting Taties ears re-taped) and he said to make them vomit w/peroxide and bring 'em back in. Tatie vomited and it had mushroom in it. Ellie (the one with the mushroom in her mouth) would not vomit.

We went all the way back to the vet (it was past 5pm so it cost extra for emergecy fees), they made them vomit and gave them activated charcoal. I worried myself sick for 48 hours and they are both now fine. Not sure if the mushroom wasn't poisonous or if I caught it in time.

I hunt mushrooms in our backyard twice a day now instead of once a day. I have found several more that really do pop up over night. I can't determine what they are though becuase there are about a zillion that look lilke them - some poisonous/some edible. Next time I find one, I'm thinking about having it tested.

Diesel is partial to paper products. His recent victims include the following:

A Wendy's cup, removed from the trash this morning after repeated requests to "leave it" last night
The box that my new Harry Potter book arrived in (thankfully I'd already removed the contents!)
All the laundry in the hamper because he didn't want to sleep in his own bedroom last night
Countless toilet paper and paper towel rolls.
Metres upon metres of toilet paper (he's got it around his neck in my avatar pic)
ONE shoe from several different pairs
Almost got my new baseball glove
Lots of stuffies, but then, that's what they're for
My bf's socks - every time he's over and they're off

Ummmmm, that's all I can think of for the moment...but I'm sure there's more!!

Well, we had quite the incident last week. I fell asleep pretty early on the couch and woke up to Luka pouncing on me. I thought maybe he needed to go outside. As soon as I stood up, I stepped ankel deep into dime size pieces of my prized- the only thing I would grab if there was a fire- Clive Barker book collection. He had chewed up 3 books (one was even signed by Clive when I met him). It resulted in quite a... scene.
Actually, just thinking about it is making me mad again.
