When Maggie is frustrated she sounds just like a human being. She has been like this since she was a young puppy.

We were at the cottage last week and of course, there is a wealth of sticks available. However, the ones in the water are the most desirable!! Maggie does not like the water and will only just let her paws become wet. She was trying to grab a large branch with quite a curve in it and the branch kept getting hung up on the rocks. All I could hear were the sounds she was making - most definitely sounds of frustration!! If I hadn't known it was her I would have thought it was a person.

FYI - Of course, she persisted and managed to drag it out of the water, over the rocks, up a sharp and muddy incline to flat ground - where she proceeded to have her way with it. That's my girl!!

Maggie huffs or gives me her sad eyes to guilt me into giving in. Deuce will sneeze and shake his head. I swear they have more personality than most people I know.

Chief snorts and huffs as well! Sometimes he'll let out this long drawn out loud sigh! You can't help but giggle

It depends what the problem is. If it's a toy stuck somewhere, we just get the stare OO like they're trying to tell us telepathically what they want. If it's something (anything) else, they run toward us, stop, then run away. Continuously. With an occasional bark thrown in for emphasis. And then some wooing if the barks aren't working. Rather annoying if the reason I can't help is because I'm on the phone, or in the shower, or cooking dinner, or (yes) sleeping.

when spanky is frustrated he starts barking and talking up a storm if that doesnt work he huffs and sneezes.

Orion would "grumble" at me. Let's say he wanted to crawl into my lap and I'm wearing a nice dress and tell him no. Then he proceeds to give me those puppy eyes and I still have to say no. Then, he will try to get on the other side of the couch and creep towards me and then again, I say no. So he would grumble at me under his breath, turn away and go somewhere else. Like I had offended him some how..LOL He was such a talker! I really miss that! :(

Haha boxers seem to have more of a personality than some people that I know. Nea will just let out a long drawn out puff of air like "geeeeez".
