I am a military member, getting deployed in January. I am the person in the house who does the majority of the playing when it comes to Sketch. He is my livelihood and best friend, aside from my wife, of course. How is he going to take me being gone for such a long time?

My Fiance is in the Military as well(navy), he was gone for two months before and for a week or two here and there, Raven "was" mainly mine but she has now become a daddy's girl. When he leaves she doesnt want to play as much and just keeps to her self but when he comes home she does just fine. Im sure he will be ok, maybe a little sad like a little kid with their dad leaving would be, but he should be ok.

I just finished up with my deployment a few months ago this year. I am ad navy. While I was gone we only had Zeus at the time. My husband said that Zeus was very sad and depressed the first few weeks after I left. Some things that we did to help him where let him sleep with a blanket that I had slept with so he would remeber my scent. My husband told me that Zeus would carry around one of my old shoes too and wouldn't let anyone touch it. When I got the chance to call home I would make sure that I "talked" to Zeus as well. Chris would make sure to spend some extra time with Zeus as well buy him some new toys to play with.
Once I returned home from deployment the only problem I had was Zeus wanting all of my attention.

I am sure Sketch will do okay with your wife while your gone. Just make sure you give him lots of love before you leave. Best of luck.
