I would agree, those "eyes". And cuddling with you, and the boxer embrace ("don't leave me!")... who could resist?

It has to be the moosh wiping!!

My curtains have these oughful crusty dogfood edges on them, I don't know why, but EVERY time Jed has his dinner he comes running in pushes the curtains out the way with his shall we say less than clean moosh, to look out the window and see what he has missed

This leaves a lovely build up of crust and it's disgusting :( My curtains are not that old and can only be dry cleaned.....

I live with it though coz I just looove him :D

problem child!!!!!!

clowicon clowicon
my little abby is a real handful. we are raising her with my son's 4 year old boxer and abby (11 months) and mugsie play all the time. they sound a little fierce at times. the "boxer" really comes out when they play. Abby is faster but mugsie is smarter. my real and only problem that i am concerned about is her jumping up on any and all including the counter just to see whats there. can that be controled in any way? my other question is one that i ask myself for the last 11 months - why did i wait so long to get a boxer?

Completely Boxer Crazy
Ok I must be really "out of the loop" 1. Gidget sheds very little. 2.She has to be one of the cleanest dogs I have ever been around. No foot prints or mud or stinky dog odor. She does have alot of slobber but I can deal with it (it does kinda freak out my 11 year old though):D Is this just all because she's 8 months old or did I get really lucky? She does have occasional gas (who doesn't):D The only real problem I have with my Boxer is the HARD HEADEDNESS!!! She looks at me like I'm the one with a hearing problem. Marcia

Gas

Tyson sleps in my room and on the bed and every night he has major gas!!!!!!! He loves to get in the middle of my boyfriend and I and turn his butt to my boyfreind and just let them go and they run you out of the bedroom. He is funny about it though he is like a little kid "sneaky" he always acts like oh I didn't do it you are mistaken. He loves getting my roomates daughter too he is too funny.

I have to say it's the gas and shedding!! Although my 2nd Boxer does not shed nearly as much as the 1st! Is that because she's only 18months?

Also wondering if anyone has any tips for these problems??

What food is best for gas? Does brushing your Boxer on a regular basis help with the shedding??

thanks!

the "game" in her.

much prized in fighting dogs -- which i realize boxers are not supposed to be -- daisy is the most stubborn dog on earth and is perfectly willing to scrap with pretty much any female. unfortunately, she's also incredibly agile, so she has shot out of half-open car windows and the cat door to attack and knock down other dogs. which brings me to what i like best about her in this situation: her very blunt teeth. she has yet to do any more than scare and cover the other dogs in slobber.

as for zolly, my boxer mix male: stubbornness. he has a nasty habit of wilfully using his head to push people and other dogs out of the way when he wants to go somewhere. not meanly or to hurt, but just out of simgle-mindedness. we've also had several messy incidents where he's decided to chase some water animals until he's at the brink of exhaustion, despite his owners calling him or the complete futility of the pursuit. what i like best about him is his sweet nature -- he wants very badly to please and is ecstatically happy when you are.

what's wrong with my dogs? except for minor eye boogers, i don't have any of the other typical boxer complaints.

Snoopdawg

Boxer Pal
What I hate about Snoop is that when he's doing something he's not or chewing on something and I tell him no and I walk over to him he runs away and plays chase with me. It drives me insane especially in the morning when I take him out to use the restroom (i'm still in my p.j's ) he decides to run to our neighbors yard two houses down and so i have to run after him and he runs the opposite way i run So i look like an idiot in my p.js chasing my crazy dog and I'm sure Snoop is just getting a kick out of it!! Thats what I hate.
