what do you do with your dogs? do they bother you?

Buddy greets me at the door whether my bf is home or not. We play for a while and he comes back to bed with me. We get up and usually go to the park or the state park for a hike in the woods. If we stay home, we play chase, play in the pool, play with bubbles or something else. We are always playing with Buddy. He comes to my work with my bf when they bring me dinner. He runs errands with me if it's not too hot outside. He's never alone for more than a couple of hours at a time before one of us comes home.

Buddy loves his soccer ball. He is the perfect dog if I have his ball in my hands. I swear that ball means more to him than a ten pound steak. When I take him to do his business he knows its playtime after he takes care of business. As I write this he's scratching my leg with his paw for me to play fetch. Ouch! Not at this hour Buddy the people downstairs don't appreciate it. I'm amazed at how much control he has with his nose on the ball, he will roll it back to me and wait till I throw it again. He never tires out, I do. He's like a big kid.

I am a stay at home Mom also and spend all day with our babies. We try to go to the nature trail at the lake at least once a week depending on my husbands work schedule. We go for walks around the neighborhood twice a day and go for rides whenever we can.

Two words, Dog Park. When the temp gets over 40 we are at the park for at least a hour daily. In the winter they go on walks daily and I take them over to my sisters to play with her dog. People have asked me if my dogs make my car stink why would I take them in it. Well I just answer that they give me so much love that having a stinky car is a small price if a car ride will make their day.

Unfortunately this is the case with the folks across the street from me. They tie their furbaby (not a boxer) outside and ignore her; they walk right by and don't even acknowledge her. We on the other hand are very active with our dogs.

I bet that poor baby is just dying to get out there and play with you guys when he sees you all outside.

On weekdays I take Titan out for a walk after work, then we play again after suppertime. On wkend we do all kinds of things together depending on the weather. We will go to the nearest town and walk along the river, he goes thru the historic builidng and he loves the gardens too. Today he's going to the farm to meet the new pigs and the ducks. It's something different all the time, but he loves it!

Basically, let them follow you around whever you go. Tre goes with me everywhere.

I know what you're saying though... Some people just feed them and forget about them. Just like my neighbors. Their dogs are outside 24/7. Not good.
