Boxer Pal
My sister called me last Monday to ask me if I want another Boxer, we have two. A guy her husband works with needs to find a home for their boy. Long story, it's really the wife's brothers, they were only suppose to watch him for a month. It's been two years, the brother was to help out with food and other expenses. He didn't. Lot's of fights later they need a new home. Quimby is 4 year old intact male. He only had one testicle drop so they thought it would be to expensive to have him fixed. I ask the hubby and he says no more dogs. He loves our girls but he doesn't think there is any more room in our bed. Do they make anything bigger then a king? I talk him into letting me keep him until I find a home for him and he agrees. We picked him up on Thursday. What a love bug, he such a sweetie. I've only had him for four days but he already has my heart. Hubby still says no...My vet does Boxer rescue, but she is out of town until this Thursday. I will contact her about helping to find a home for him. It is already breaking my heart just to think about it.

You're doing the right thing, once you find a good forever home for this boy, I'm sure you feel good all over even if you don't get to keep him yourself.

What a cute name...Quimby. :) I had a queen size bed for the longest time. My 2 big boxers slept in it. When I bought my king size I thought WOW there's lots of room for a couple more boxers. :D You sure there isn't room for him in that bed? :)
Would be great if you could keep him, but it's nice to know that he's in good hands for the time. Hope your husband changes his mind.

Where are you in Washington? Near Portland? Let me know and I will put him on my list. I live in the Tri-City area.

Thanks for the replys, Quimby is such a good boy, I can't believe anybody would get rid of him. He is doing great with my two girls. The first night was kind of hard. He wouldn't eat dinner and he was up all night pacing. I slept on the couch with him, but he would only lay down for 20 minutes or so then he would be back up searching. He is doing great now eating with no problem and sleeping all night. He is a momma's boy. He loves to come sit on my lap and cuddle at night when we are watching TV. He is a 80 pound lap puppy. I took some pictures of him last night, hope to get them posted today. I'm still working on the husband. Draymia I live in Washougal about 30 minutes from Portland. Our vet Liz Grauer does Boxer rescue, so I was going to contact her when she gets back from vacation. She will be back in the office on Thursday.

We were going to only have two, but then we found Annie running down the middle of the road, we weren't going to keep her ( for about 1/2 hour) but she fit right in like quimby does in your place and we haven't regreted it. We have a king size bed and Annie has her own chair in the bed room when we go to bed we tell her get in you chair and she does, however in the morning we have all three there. When we go camping she sleeps on the couch, only a queen bed in the trailer.
Good luck

He is so handsome! It would be great if you could keep him. If not, rescue could maybe find him a home quickly since he is well mannered and good looking.
