While my boys were eating this morning, I booted up the ol computer to do my morning check-in here at BW:D:
After the boys were done eating I let them outside to do their chores:D:
Before they come in I wipe faces, butt's and paws!! well after doing all of that they come in and run right to the front window because today is garbage day, well as I look over to the front window to tell them to "Hush" I see I missed a spot on My Coopers butt, so I grabbed a baby wipe and went to wipe his bum, something looked funny and so I was getting a closer look and whatever it was....WAS MOVING:eek: I freaked out!! called the vet and off we were......by time I got to the vets ofc (40 min away) I was in tears!! I was not sure what the heck was going on...come to find out my baby has tapeworms!!:eek: I have never ever had to deal with this or have I ever even seen them before I was just mortified!! I told the vet this is as bad as your kid getting sent home from school with head lice!!:eek: it just gives you that grossed out feeling!
So we gave both my boys the pills they needed and all is going to be well.
Even though I have had Cooper 6 yrs, I guess I am still a little green when it comes to things we have not yet had to experience.
Vet said it was probably from a flea.....even though I have not seen any of those on the boys and I treat my yard etc....
Is there anything else I can do to prevent this in the future????
