wet food?

Does anyone feed a mixture of kibble and wet to there fur babies? I hear that is not good for them. Besides the price (price means nothing when it comes to them) is it bad for them health wise???

I don't think it would be. as long as it is a high quality dog food. I feed raw so I don't really know to much on canned. but before I switched to raw I fed dry kibble.

I just switched to merrick turducken! I had no idea it made its own "gravy" when you added water to it. Sure has cut down on the amount of add-in's i was using. Tango loves it!

jtjumpshot: I had been boiling chicken and putting it in the food processor then adding some to his food. That way i knew what he was getting. Ive also used stew beef pieces and hamburger before too. Never bought canned foods so i dont know alot about that.

We feed kibble in the AM, slightly moistened with warm water and for dinner we feed the same kibble mixed with just a "shot" of canned. My girl loves it and I like the fact that she is getting a different flavor weekly (a can lasts about 5 days) as well as different nutrients from a different source. We feed Eagle Pack Holistic Select dry and assorted types of Wellness canned.

We feed Maggie 2 cups of moistened Nutro Ultra Puppy kibble mixed with 1/2 can Nutro Ultra Puppy each AM & PM. She eats it much better that way...

Wet food is not bad for dogs, per say, but it is bad for their teeth if fed exclusively. If you are just mixing some in with the dry kibble, it would be fine.

Sometimes when you find dogs who only eat canned food, their teeth suffer because they dont crunch anything up to help scrape the tarter off of the teeth. Usually they have to eat only canned or soft food for an extended period before you would notice a problem!
