It is sooo great that you decided to rescue. Sapphire looks so happy to be with her new parents in her new home. She is a doll!

Thanks a lot. Today was my first day back to work since we got her and I think I had seperation anxiety. My wife said that Sapphire just kind of moped around and initially wouldn't eat her breakfast, eventually she ate. I'm just nervous at times. I hate sticking her in her crate but I know it's for her own good. I hate leaving her because I don't want her to think I am being like some of the other people who had her and basically abandoned her. The last family gave her up because the wife was allergic to her. Ugggh I'm tired and just rambling. I know I'll be fine, just need to get through the adjustment period.

It will for sure. In no time she will realize you are coming home every day and you leaving doesn't mean the end of the world. :) Hang in there! It will get better.

She is very pretty.. and very lucky to find such a wonderful home. I hope you guys will enjoy each other for years to come.

The crate thing will work out I at first thought they were mean but having two boxers crate trained now think that crating is the best thing ever. Abigail thinks of it as her own bedroom and doesn't mind at all going in it when needed. Brandy (crossed the bridge in 2-04) used to go in her crate to nap on her own. You knew if she was in her crate it was her downtime and we would leave her be until she woke and and started kidney beaning. I feel secure leaving Abigail in her crate when I'm at work knowing she can't get into stuff that could hurt her or better yet she could hurt like Tig her cat.

Can't wait to see more pics.. she is a really one nice looking lady..

Well we are finishing up our 2nd week with her. She has been doing so good now that we let her sleep next to our bed, on my side of course. I convinced my wife to let her do this so that when we go camping she is used to sleeping next to us. She has done great with it. She does love to hop up on the bed when we watch tv and snuggle up next to us. She does the same on the couch. She doesn't just hop up though, she'll only go when we tell her it's ok. She really seems to be adjusting great...sometimes she seems sad but it seems to be getting better. I think she is starting to know that this is HER home. The crate thing is getting better. Man...I'm sitting here writing this and she just let a SBD fart while she's sleeping. Woooooooweeeee!!! Ok back to the topic. Her crate is at the back of the house in her own room. Now I just tell her to sit, get behind her and heard her down the hallway with lots of happy voice. She will then head into her room and sometimes right into her crate. I have been taking her in there during the day making her sit/stay, then walk out of the room, down the hall and then release her by saying "Sapphire ok." This also gets some work done on our sit stay. It also is getting her to realize that she isn't always going to have the door shut on her when she goes in. Sometimes we feed her breakfast or dinner in it to see it's not a bad place. Some new pics have been added to the link in my signature. I have a bunch more to add though. Thanks for all of the nice comments.
