Well we are finishing up our 2nd week with her. She has been doing so good now that we let her sleep next to our bed, on my side of course. I convinced my wife to let her do this so that when we go camping she is used to sleeping next to us. She has done great with it. She does love to hop up on the bed when we watch tv and snuggle up next to us. She does the same on the couch. She doesn't just hop up though, she'll only go when we tell her it's ok. She really seems to be adjusting great...sometimes she seems sad but it seems to be getting better. I think she is starting to know that this is HER home. The crate thing is getting better. Man...I'm sitting here writing this and she just let a SBD fart while she's sleeping. Woooooooweeeee!!! Ok back to the topic. Her crate is at the back of the house in her own room. Now I just tell her to sit, get behind her and heard her down the hallway with lots of happy voice. She will then head into her room and sometimes right into her crate. I have been taking her in there during the day making her sit/stay, then walk out of the room, down the hall and then release her by saying "Sapphire ok." This also gets some work done on our sit stay. It also is getting her to realize that she isn't always going to have the door shut on her when she goes in. Sometimes we feed her breakfast or dinner in it to see it's not a bad place. Some new pics have been added to the link in my signature. I have a bunch more to add though. Thanks for all of the nice comments.
