For the past 2 years I have been feeding our 5 year old boxer, 60 pounds, Natural Balance Lamb and Rice. It was the only food I found that agreed with his stromach and allergies. Let's just say I think he is really bored with it. I have been having to add meat, wet canned Wellness etc. to get him to eat it dry. His coat doesn't look as good as it used to etc. I wanted to try Wellness Core and was looking for some feedback. Does anyone have a boxer on this that has a sensitive stomach/allergies? I am hoping if I transition slowly enough this may be a good change. Any feedback is appreciated!

I tried it...too many things my boy was allergic to and it was a disaster for him. So I went with the Natural Balance limited ingredient diets. He either gets the sweet potato and chicken, sweet potato and fish, or sweet potato and bison. I rotate every 3 bags or so (which is every 9 weeks around here) and he and my Boxer girl have done GREAT on it for the past 2 years.

I began feeding Boogie and Kaya Wellness for puppies a couple of weeks ago and Kaya has never had such terrible gas. Boogie is doing fine w/it and doesn't seem to be showing any distress as a result of the change. Kaya on the other hand is not doing so hot. She stops eating about a third of the way through and her gas is the worst it has ever been. I'm going to keep Boogie on the Wellness for now and I'm thinking of changing to Solid Gold Hundchen Flocken Puppy which uses a lamb and fish formula as opposed to the chicken in Wellness.
