Super Boxer
well thursday we let kadie sleep in bed with us, she did great well friday before my girlfriend left for work at 9 she took her out she peed and pooped, well when at 1 when she went home kadie had peed in her crate. so she cleaned it up, bathed kadie then left again for 3 hrs kadie peed in her crate again, well then when we were at home eating dinner she peed on the floor, and then during the night last night between 3 and 6 she peeded
thats FOUR times in 24 hrs, its been about 2 weeks sence we had a singal accedent. she will be 16 weeks old on tuesday and i know she won't be full pottie trained until about 6 months but she is allmost 100percent bell trained with out of the crate and shes been great in her crate other then crying and barking in her crate for the first few min she is in there. im just wondering if this is a common thing for them to slip up like this at this age or not.

thanks,
joe

not to worry

Murphy had the same issues when he was about the same age. I thought he was house broken and then for about two weeks he went through this phase of
messing the house. I'd let him out, he'd do his thing come back in and promptly poop/pee in the house. Then after about two weeks of this he just quit and went back to being the housebroken puppy that he is. I don't know why they do it, and am not sure all boxer puppies do do this, but I do know from experience they stop after a relatively short period of time. Murphy is now 6 months old and has only had one accident since, and that one was my fault. SO cheer up it will pass.

joe, she is so young. at 15 weeks you still have a way to go. just don't get upset with her just redirect her to the place where she needs to go. puppys at that age have such a small bladder.
now if she keeps peeing for alot of times then maybe you might want to take her to the vet to make sure she does not have a uti or vaginitis.

your pup is still very, very young. and she won't won't be fully potty trained at 6 months. boxers tend to regress a bit at about 9 months and become more challenging as they enter their adolescent phase. even if she was doing well, she might have an accident or to. not to worry though, just put her back on the basics of potty traiing again and she'll come out of it fine.
i'd keep your dog in her crate and keep a tight potty training schedule while she's still this young. this will help her train better and make it easier once she's an adult.

We thought our 5month old SADIE was having a set back in her potty training last week aswell. We took a urine sample to the vet and it turned out that she has a urinary tract infection. She also had what looked like dried blood on her belly, and that is why we thought she had a uti or she was going into her first heat early. Hopfully your little one is just having a brief relapse in training. Good Luck.
