Weird thing about Champ and his tongue

I just wanted to know if any of you know why Champ my 16 month old "chomps" on his tongue. Thats right!!! It is the strangest things I have ever seen. He does it mainly outside but is now starting to do it in the house as well. He starts out by sniffing and then its like he is tasteing something and he does not like it or it is tickleing his tongue but he just sticks his tongue out and bites down about 10 times. It is the funniest thing.

If any of you have any thoughts on this I would love to know.

That's funny! Sam doesn't do anything like that except chew on one of his feet sometimes. . .
