Boxer Insane
Well, I am on my way to the vet this morning.
Yesterday, I saw Oxy try to lick his back... I check.. EWWWWW GROSSNESS!!!! He has a round, sticky, puss looking sore on his back. I cleaned it up, the hair fell off, it has dried of this morning..
So as I inspect him everywhere, he has a patch of other kind of grossness at the base of his neck, between his shoulders. It looks like he was poked by millions of needles. It is bloody/crusty.
Oxford doesn't seem itchy at all.
I clean it up. The hair didin't fall off there ( i guess he can't lick this area, so it prevented infection?)
Anyway.. it is WEIRD! I have never ever seen that. He has other bumpy/crusts at other places on his body...
The only thing I can think off is that Sunday, I took the boys running in the field. The field has a pound/reservoire type of lake. Maybe he got a bacteria from that? - But our other boy, Snatch, is ok, no skin issue at all - and he is the first one going to jump in that nasty water.
I wish I could take picture, but he doesn't stay still and the pics come out all blury.. I hope the vet wont have to shave the area....
Poor Oxy...
