Sounds OK to me. But whether or not they're under weight depends on how tall they are (30lb at 17" tall would be fat, while 30lb at 21" is probably a little thin).

Regardless, boxer puppies very frequently are ribby. They put most of their energy into growing upward, and the filling out doesn't commence until all the upward growth is complete. That means that a great many pups are ribby until at least 18 months of age - and not completely filled out until they're close to 3 years old. There's nothing you can do about it either. If you feed them more, they simply grow taller faster, and that's not good for them. And they still don't fill out...

Looking at your pup's pictures in your gallery, I'd say that is the case with both of yours. Yes, they're on the thin side. But not unusually so for boxer pups of their age. As long as you're feeding them a good quality food, and their appetites and activity levels are good, then there is no need to worry about them. They will fill out in their own time, but it won't be for quite a while yet.

I totally agree with gmacleod. Just as a waypoint, my girls are 5 months old and one weighs in at just over 30 lbs and the other is just over 25 lbs. The bigger one is taller and more muscular, and the smaller is just daintier. As long as they eat a good quality food, and they are active and happy, being a little ribby is normal in a pup.

My little guy Syxx is 5 months old and probably weighs about 50 lbs. He was about 35 lbs at his final vet visit at 16 wks. He is pretty long and tall though and my vet says he is towards the upper end of the weight range most boxers his age would be. Just make sure you're feeding a premium food and feeding pretty close to the guidelines.

My 8 month old boy is 70 lbs, but he is huge. He's taller than my 7 year old Boxer. His daddy was really big, so I'm sure he's following in his footsteps. My vet said he'd probably be in the upper range of what Boxers should weigh. He's perfectly healthy, he's just a big boy! I'm sure your babies are fine, as long as you are feeding them high quality food. I panicked when I thought Colby was too skinny, even though I know Boxer puppies tend to be skinny. The vet said he looks great, though, so I'm sure yours are, too.
