Our puppy, Keno, is almost 19 wks and weighs 35 lbs...he's not fat at all...rather thin actually...but he's all legs & he's really starting to fill out around the neck & upper chest...we feed him Chicken Soup For The Puppy Lovers Soul...
5 mos and 27 lbs does seem a little on the small side, but then again females tend to be a little smaller then males usually...so maybe 27 lbs is right on for your baby girl...

We just weighed Mako and at 4 days before becomes 4 months old he is exactly 33lbs. Needless to say we are happy with Wellness puppy food. Wellness seems to recommend a lower amount of food intake than other brands and this help alot since Mako is not the most agressive of eaters. What's funny is that as the suggestions show on the back of the bag the older they get the less you feed. Females are usually smaller at any certain age anyhow so I wouldn't worry too much. Trust me I know what its like to be stressed about Mako's eating habits!!

Shotze's Mom

Shotze just had her growth check for the month. She is at 38lbs, 21 inches from floor to top of the shoulder, 8 months old, and looks great. She isnt thin at all and she is all muscle. I was worried about the weight being low, but looking at her...she is perfect for her size.

Ours was 34 at 5 months and 39 at 5.5. We got him from the lb and has been gaining exactly 10 lbs per month. How long does that rapid weight gain continue? Also, how long/tall are your boxers at this age? I have tried to find a growth chart for boxers with no luck.

He does sound a little small but it sounds like he is eating pretty good. Maybe you could try mixing something with his food to make it more appetizing (yogurt, canned food, cottage cheese). We mix just a teaspoon of soft food in with Oscar's meals.

Oscar weighed 58 pounds at 6 months old and he was no where close to chubby. He is now 13 months old and weighs 80 pounds.

Our Thumper was the runt of the litter and was really on the petite side the first few months. Our vet initially thought that her adult weight would be in the 40's. After a growth spurt, she is now 40lbs and 20 " at just 6 months. If she is still smaller than the "norm", so what - good things come in small packages! - Cathy

Not sure what our male weighs as of right now, But on the 10th he will be 4 months and stands 18-19" to shoulder.

Keno is 4 mos old now and measures 20"-21" ...he weighs some where around 35 lbs (weighed him about 10 days ago)...Keno's dad weighs 75-80 lbs so we expect Keno to also be on the big side ;)

Connor was the runt and at 6 weeks was only about 1lb. She is now 11 weeks and weighs only 8 lbs. At least once a day someone asks me if she is a miniature boxer. I am starting to get concerned that she will be extremely small but the vet does not say anything. Anyone else with a similar situation?

Kayla was the runt and at 6 weeks she was 5 lbs.She is now almost 9 months old and is 45 lbs and still growing.
