We now have Petco in Charlotte!

From my small town it is nice to go on occassion somewhere that allows dogs to shop. I also use a local feed store for many of my supplies and will continue to use them but like I said its like going on vacation when we go to petsmart.

Cubby, I sent you a pm on that club type meet. They are to meet a Petsmart on University Blvd. the first Staurday of every month at 10:00am. So maybe one day I will get to meet both you and craZ4HERKIE.

And if I ever see that any of these type stores have neglected pets, I`ll speak my mind and go elsewhere. I do worry when they have puppies and kittens that aren`t altered for adoption. The numbers look good once adopted but if they aren`t altered they may be contributing to the pet population unknowingly.

Moderators...I tend to agree with you about the independent pet stores...when I lived in Rock Hill....I patronized one that was a little high priced...but the owner would special order things for me that she didn't have in stock, and since I bought food in such a large quantity...she did give me a discount on it.I have only been living in Charlotte since July...and the only independent store that I know of is "The Last Place on Earth"...and I just can't get past that name!

LuvsHerBoxers....thanks for posting about the animal neglect on Petco, I agree with you...I refuse to shop ANYWHERE like that.I had no idea...and I just get so excited when I see new places where I can buy stuff for Hercules.I must admit...I wasn't all that impressed...pretty much like a Petsmart.My big thrill was that I met Mocha!
