We need to gain weight, but he won't EAT!

Does anyone have any reciepe suggestions for my dog who is a finicky eater?

When it is time to feed, he does not seem interested. I have put a combination of dry and canned food, and that seems to work, but it does not put on the weight that he needs.

I need a reciepe for a snack that will help add weight on him. He is too skinny!

Someone, please help me out with suggestions.

Which dry and canned do you currently feed? Depending on what it is, maybe there's something higher quality that might suit a bit better.

You could also consider adding some real food to his meals. Things like lean meat (protein is what's needed for developing muscle), the occassional can of small oily fish (eg. sardines or mackeral, not tuna), a little cottage cheese now and again, a raw or lightly cooked egg once or twice a week. These are all good healthy additions that may encourage him to eat, and are high in protein that can help him to put on a bit of weight.

Last thought though - depending upon the age of the dog, there may not be all that much you can do. If he's below about 2 years old, then he'd still be growing and many boxers seem to put all their energy intake into growing up before they start to fill out to match. There's nothing unhealthy about that - it's perfectly natural, and actually very good for their joints not to be heavy until after growth is complete.
