I'd love to hear how life with three boxers are. If my DH would let me, I'd have three for sure. Can't wait to hear your new stories with the third one! If anyone can shed light on what it is like to have three in one house, I'd like to hear it! By the way, I was watching "It's Me or the Dog" on Animal Planet and one tip was instead of using the word "no", make a firm, loud "ah ah". I am doing that with our second, and it has worked out great! Sometimes they hear the word "no" so much they think it is part of their name! Good luck and can't wait to see pictures and hear stories!

For the most part having three isn't much different from having two. Cassius is senior citizen with thyroid and cushings issues so his activity level is very low, but he does rumble with the younger boys a little here and there.
Feeding time is always interesting. Cassius and Bo are pigs and Max will almost always leave a meal for hours before eating it. We've been working on that since he was about 6 months old. A little chicken broth usually helps coax him to eat, but he still takes his time to savor the meal (aka get distracted by every sound before returning for another nibble). the other two circle like vultures hoping he'll drop some.
The three all sleep in the bedroom on blankets by the side of the bed. Bo thinks he should sleep with us, but he's learning that once both of us are in bed, all dogs sleep on the blankets on the floor.
We have it real easy here for walks and woods time. We live on a very quiet, circle drive in the 'burbs, and we have the creek and woods right outside our back door. No neighbors behind us til you cross the creek and head up 200 yards of thick wooded hill. All this makes it ideal to let the boys romp.
We also have a fenced in section of our yard for whenever the boys want to go out. the laundry room has an outside door with a dog door that leads right to their run and this is available all day and night until its freezing out. If they want to be inside they have the run of the living room, den and kitchen. All bedrooms are closed, otherwise we find our laundry and other items dragged downstairs and outside.
Without some of that convenience I'm sure we would have much more work on our hands.

Wow..thats wonderful...so happy Bo-zer now has a wonderful home and friends to play with..
We are thinking about adding a rescue Boxer to our pack sometime in the near future..and your great story is re-affirming our decision..
That will give us 2 boxers and a lab...Sadie, the lab, is a sweetheart and gets along with everything and everyone...Peaches is a little more reserved with other animals, but loves people and children..she will be 6 on Halloween and is getting better, with age, about other doggies..

Woo hoo congratulations!!!! I am sure after he settles and trust he will love you just as much my foreman has always loved women more then men no reason no abuse so he also might be like that too

Congratulations! So glad to hear it is working out!
Your home sounds like mine! Roxi and I live with my sister, her hubby and their 2 10-year-old Boston Terriers (littermates), one of which has cushings. Good thing it's a great big ol' house with lots of room to run!!!

Just an update-Bozer and Max are really starting to roughhouse now. The two run at each other full speed, jump up on hind legs and slam chests. Quite a lot of noise and some NFL style collisions. It is good to see Max accepting him as a friend in his home, and I imagine it won't be long before he sees him as brother.
Bo isn't fixed yet (to be remedied in 3 weeks) so he is really trying to show some dominance and mount Max. Max is having none of that! His growls and shows-of-force are too much. You can almost hear him saying "get off me!!" My little submissive Max is coming into his own. Only took two years.
Bo has also tried to mount old man Cassius, and that is a sight as well. He's a typical hard-headed 1 year old so he needs to be reminded about once a day that Cassius will not tolerate his advances. As soon as Bozer tests the waters with a paw on Cassius' back, the result from Cassius is instant alpha male-teeth, growls, and warning barks. Still, I have caught the two lying side by side on the slate at the front door together, so I know he's not enough nuisance to really upset my old guy.
I've been lazy with the camera lately but promise pictures of all three maniacs soon.
