What a very sad thing! I'm sorry your baby has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. My love and thoughts are with you and your family. It has been 18 days since my Tazzy passed away I cry less but it will take awhile. Just be there for each other. If it gets to be too hard come back here and talk to us, BW has been my lifesaver I can't imagine what I would be like without it. So many people who really know what I am going through.

im very sorry for your loss... it never gets easy..but you have to be strong for Roscoe and your son. GIve Roscoe a big hug for me

Thank you all

Thank you all for responding to my post. Its really tough today. Roscoe keeps going around the house looking for Max. He's checked every room and no Max. Every time I think of him I cry. I feel so empty, my heart is broken and all I can think of is to hug Roscoe and have him make me feel better. It helps. He keeps looking at my husband and I and gives us kisses and lets us snuggle him. When we come home , we were always greeted by Max first, because Roscoe was too busy trying to find a toy to bring to us. We took Roscoe out in the backyard to play and he didn't know what to do. He always tried to get the toys away from Max, and would chase him around the yard, so now thier is no one to take things away from so he really doesn't know how to play. I miss Max so much. :( :( :(

Poor Roscoe

Did Roscoe see Max when he passed? Talk to Roscoe he will hopefully understand. He's mourning just as much as his family. It makes me cry to read your posts because my pain is still right there always waiting. I lite a candle for Max you can to atwww.petpics.net/memory I go there once a day sometimes more it helps.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Max. It is hard to lose a pup and especially one so young. As cruel as it sounds maybe you can consider searching for a new playmate for Roscoe. Rescue boxer, or maybe just a trip to see who is at your local shelter. Roscoe is grieving just as you are and the love they give is so unconditional...I think he would understand you are not replacing Max. You & your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Give Roscoe and extra cuddle from me.
