Super Boxer
He's a HW+ flashy fawn boy named Samson (see my gallery for a picture of him). Such a sweetheart! lovicon
He still has to stay crated, but he's learned that if he's calm while we have him out, he can stay out longer! Of course, our two are none to happy about this - especially since they can't do anything together yet. They have to be crated when he's out and they don't like it! :rolleyes:
I pulled him out of a shelter last week. He still needs to put a few pounds on (5-10), but he's being picky about his food. Tuna, eggs, and hamburger meat usually work; sometimes chicken broth poured over dry food works; but he can't seem to get used to the sticky peanut butter!
He's such a pretty boy - he's shorter than most boxers, but he's stocky! He has some scars on his front legs and the back of his neck.
He has rubbed the fur off on all his joints (probably from spending a lot of time laying on concrete). He also doesn't really have front teeth - they are down to the gumline.
He is so precious - he just wants to be petted and loved on all the time! He was so gentle with our neighbors' 2yo daughter - ever so gently took the chew bone out of her hand when she offered it to him!
We're working on the housebreaking and crate-training. He can hold it in his crate (he did have an accident in his crate last night - the first time, though). We take him out a lot when he's not crated and treat him when he goes out there - we've only had two accidents in the house when he wasn't crated and they were both on the first day. He'll also go into his crate if you hold a liver treat in the back.
He'll be up for adoption when his HW treatment is over - probably the first week in December. Please visit Rockin' P Rescue for adoption information. He'll be there when the site is updated this week.
