Have you ever noticed how that works. Not that anyone ever complains because we love our kids that much, but they do it so gradually that we don't even know that it's happening. We think we are doing such a great job training our kids to "sit", "stay", "heel", "down", "no jumping" and they do it with abandon because they want to make us happy. But in the course of this training of them they train us as well. They train us to laugh more, to have more patience, to enjoy life more, to look at life through a childs eyes (literally and figuratively) and to live life to its fullest. Quite amazing if you ask me.

Titan loves our training class and practicing at home he tries so hard and is so serious about it. But sometimes I can't help but double over laughing at him- but then he gets this look like "come on mom cut the laughing out, this school is serious stuff and this stay stuff is really hard" lol- just love these dogs to pieces.

I think you are absolutely right, here I thought we were doing such a great job with him teaching the sit, stay etc. commands, but he has taught us so much more. Our home is filled with more laughter, understanding, patience then I ever thought was possible. I think Chaos has trained us so well.

I agree with you! They train us to be happier and more caring people. When I wake up in the morning and see Roscoe snoring right next to me, it starts my day off good.

I am proud to say I was trained by boxers.
I now know the importance of walking in the woods even when it is cold.
I now know that puppy kisses can cure a terrible day.
I now know that cuddling on the couch is more important than a clean floor.
I know know that milk cartons aren't garbage - they are fun toys.
and on and on and on ....
