We Did It!

Well it's official. We pick up our adopted boxer tomorrow @ noon.
We met him last night during our home visit and it was love at first sight.

We didn't realize how much we missed those boxer kisses until he introduced himself to each of us and kissed all 5 of us.

He is a big boy at 80 lbs. He is brindle w/natural ears, a gorgeous strong body with brown soulfull eyes that stole our hearts. He is sweet, gentle and curious.

He took turns following our daughters 16, 13 and 11 around the house then came back to my side for loves and more kisses. The girls are fighting over who's bed he will sleep in. I might have to pull rank.

His name is Murphy and he has been in foster for a LONG time. That only made us want him more.

He ignored our 30 lb mean, spoiled cat. At one time, our cat was outside the slider looking in and Murphy laid down inside the slider and they had a staring contest. "Ha Ha I'm inside and you are not." It was great!

None of us were able to sleep last night and I'm sure tonight will be the same.

You all will be hearing a lot more from me because now I will have adventures and stories to share too. Lots of question too I'm sure. I will send pictures as soon as I figure out how.

Woohoo Daphne!! Way to go! I am really hoping this is the Murphy Jenna has been fostering...if so, you guys are SOOOO lucky -- he is an awesome boxer!

We had a chance to meet him when Jenna and Trishia were on a boxer run through the area about a month ago. Our little brindle baby Jazz came from Chico Boxer Rescue too. We were hoping to find a 2nd boxer and he is just PERFECT and so sweet; our only issue had nothing to do with HIM -- it was that my husband turns out not to be completely ready for another boxer after this past October's sad ending for our big boy Beau who attacked him (long story). Murphy turned out to be a lookalike for Beau and Mike started having flashbacks of the attack a few minutes after we parted ways with Jenna. Sad, but we need more time I guess.

I am so glad you are giving him a home, he deserves it and I am positive he will be rewarding you with tons of love! Have a great day tomorrow! Very happy for you AND for Murphy!
