Water and Temperature outside

Well as we all know it is getting warmer out. It is supposed to be around 80-87 the next couple of days. I want to get a baby pool to get Pimp comfortable to the water. I think that is an okay temperature for him to go swimming or at least try to. I think I should get the pool today and let it warm up a bit so it is not ice cold. Any suggestions?

a baby pool is a good idea for the outdoors. boxers are mainly intended for the indoors, as they are quite sensitive to drastic changes in temperature. the ideal temperature for a boxer is 70 degrees, as their normal body temperature is roughly 10 degrees higher than ours. a good rule to go by is if it is too hot or too cold for you, than it is definitely too hot for yor boxer.

my guys have a baby pool and they just love it. also the dog park by me has a few so when they get hot they go lay down in the water I think it would be a great idea as long as you supervise.

Pimp is 11 weeks old today. I don't think that should matter much, but I am going to go one today and let it warm some or I'll just make the water warmer for him. THANX!!

winston is just getting acclimated to baths and water. he also LOVES being outside. we are in charlotte and the temps are steadily climbing to the high 70s. when outside, i make sure that he has enough water to drink and also apply some water to his coat, particularly behind his ears.

the baby pool sounds like a great idea!!!!

one of my boxers swim. she just love's the water. she does laps in the pool.I had to put up a child safety fence so she won't be able to swim without someone outside with her. I had this fence since it came with the house for 12 years and never put it up when my skinkids were little,but had to for mattie. otherwise she would just dive in all the time

not all dogs can naturally swim. however, all my boxers loved the water and manage to do just fine. i guess have been lucky.

well i went to Petsmart yesterday and got a baby pool for $6.99. So it is all filled up and sitting out in the sun today to warm up so as soon as I get home we are gonna try it out.. So I'll let you know. I hope he likes it!!

$6.99! I am going to petsmart today for some toys - I am going to get one too - that's cheap!
It's 77 here today (wohoo! a heat wave for Wisconsin!) but it is supposed to be cooler the rest of the week...:(
So I guess we'll have to wait to use it!
