Washington Boxer has a new home today!!!!

Just thought I would put it out there that a female boxer has been resued from the Tacoma, WA Humane Society. She was unknown stray and has been there since monday the 24th. I am picking her up this afternoon. She is the second boxer me and my wife have resued from an animal shelter in the last year. The female I am picking up today does not have a name yet, we were thinking of "Vegas", if anybody has any suggestions of a name let me know. She has a medical condition their vet believes to ber related to her being in heat. We are taking her to our vet tomorrow to have them run some tests. I have good faith that everything will be ok and she can be spayed when she done going through heat. Her new brother "Jake" can't wait to meet her, he was sniffing me like crazy yesterday when he picked up her scent on my clothes. I'll keep you updated on her medical condition when we find what is wrong. In the meantime if anybody has any name suggestions let me know.

So glad to hear that! I'll post a message at BRMC where I had a thread about her that she's been adopted. Let us know how the vet check-up goes as well as life in her new home. Vegas is a lucky girl!!

Lisa - she's not on petfinder but pet-ark which is what the Tac-Pierce HS uses to list dogs in their shelter!!

The trip to vet went good. The Dr. said the swelling was due to her being in heat. Just like we thought but we had to be safe. She has a yeast infection in one of her ears, and we have medicine for that now. But besides those two things she is perfect health and welcome addition to the family. We still have not come to determine what her name is, like I said before we thinking of "Vegas" but we didn't think that it fit her personality.

Jake took to her well. After the traditional dog greeting they were running around the back yard chasing each other and playing with the ball. I will have pictures of them both in my gallery soon.

Thank you everybody for your support, and when we determine her name I will let you all know. We want it to fit her personality.

I think she looks like a Megan or Chelsea. Watever name you pick I'm sure it will fit her perfectly .

I think Faith is a great name! Grace (or Gracie) or Hope would be cute too. Seems like a name along those lines would be very fitting.
