Since we have a male and a female, people are always asking me if we are going to breed them. I try to explain that, no they are both fixed, and anyway we only have a "limited" registry so the puppies wouldn't be registerable and they just kind of look at me like "huh"?

People have no conception that you want to preserve and try to better the breed by controlling which dogs are bred. They only see: Boy + Girl = puppies

I tell them if you want a puppy, here is the name of a reputable breeder (but those are too expensive).

I finally have a perfect excuse to give people who ask me to breed my dog...I tell them he has a heart condition. They usually drop it right away.

They don't need to know that the only thing wrong with his heart is a slight murmur (and wayyyyy too much love for his mommy!)! :P

A woman asked me once if I would breed them to make money back on them, and I asked her if she was going to breed her children to make them pay for college LOL

I love it! That's a good one too! The problem is that people don't think before they open their mouths. There should be a five second delay on some people's mouths like they implemented on television due to Jackson's fiasco during the Superbowl.LOL.
