I had a similar experience in my own backyard! Some weirdo pulled into the apartment complex parking lot behind our house when I was taking Mags out to potty and stopped and asked if she had papers and if I was going to breed her - for the same reason "you'll make a killing". Luckily, I had been doing my research and learned a lot from BW, so I had several concrete reasons why I wouldn't breed her. He said "OK" and left. It sucks that all some people can think about is the money.:(

I am glad to hear Rachel is doing well.

I can relate...my mouth gets me into trouble sometimes too, especially when I get comments similar to this about my neutering Mason. This guy had it coming though...asking if he could buy Tanner first, then the stupid breeding comment.

Good for U!!!!! Had he simply asked why you were having them fixed instead of breeding that would have been tolerable. But to insult you????? Some people I swear....... Here's my funny story..... When I sent Mason's registration papers in for whatever reason they went to the breeder ( it was a stipulation on buying him that I had to complete the registration process so I guess this was her way of making sure i did???) Anyhow about a year later she called me up and asked " was I ever going to pick up his papers?" At first I wasn't even sure what she was talking about as he is my pet, my friend and my "special person", i never intended to breed or show. When I acted "confused" she immediately jumped down my throat for having purchased a "perfect" speciman and not doing anything about it. I got a 15 minute lecture and finally ended up telling her hse should feel lucky that he went to such a good home and to mind her own business!

I commend you for putting that dufus in his place. I'm wondering what kind of dog he had. I feel sorry for whatever pet he owns. People never cease to amaze me with their ignorance and it's usually the really ignorant that open their mouths most readily. Such a shame! Also, my mom is from Oklahoma so I thank you for defending all fellow Oklahoman's (?) as she is far from stupid.
