We don't want people like this receiving our precious animals! I received this on another boxer mailing list I belong to, I thought it was worth passing on... I know our Boxer Rescue groups occasionally takes in mix breeds... I thought everyone should be aware.

Tony & Rebecca Williams claim to have a
rescue in Rocky Mount, NC and are trying to get dogs from all over
the Eastern Seaboard. (She offered to take 14 dogs since Monday) She
continues
to take dogs, most are pit bulls, with some offers to adopt presa
canarios,
Rottweilers, Dobermans, and wolf hybrids.

In addition, she had previously posted that her roommate was
looking for a Great Dane or GD mix. She also posted that she
was "desperate"
for a Chihuahua and she really wanted a Mini Pin and a Jack Russell.


She claims her rescue is a pit bull rescue, but another pit
rescuer called the local Animal Control. AC's comments: "She's been
barred from taking any dogs from the shelters in her area. He also
said she has a long criminal history, has been selling Pit Bulls on
street corners for 15 or 20 dollars and has been under investigation
for
dog fighting." Atlantic Rescue has now banned her, after finding out
this
information.

f.. jack Russell
g.. shar pei
h.. min pin
i.. great dane (PB or mix)
She uses the little dogs as bait! Please cross post!! Please check
for your
breed above and notify all rescues. They are going out of their area
looking for
dogs to adopt.

It's kind of like a mastiff, american bull dog cross, I think. I saw this same warning on a rottweiler forum, so the message is getting around!

Yeah, I did a google search on them and that same message has been coming up - most of them are either city websites or other dog forums.

That is good this message is getting around before it's too late for some pups - don't rescues do background checks on people before their dogs are adopted?

Of course, but we are talking about someone who apparently rounds up dogs from shelters, and shelters generally don't have the resources to do home checks.

I think they would have a hard time getting a dog through a good rescue, but an overcrowded shelter with a high staff turnover . . . it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Oh, this is so horrible and sad, people like that will get their punishment one day!
