Wanting to start raw to help with colitis.

I am trying to battle colitis with one of my boxers. I heard that raw diet can help to eliminate the colitis. Is that true? Anyone have expierience with colitis and raw diets? Is there a good guide on this forum for first timers? I am hoping to learn about quantity and percentages of bones to offal and the like. I am tired of going to the vet and the medicine not doing anything to help solve his condition. Please help

I have heard that the raw diet has done wonders for dogs with Colitis. Congratulations on your choice to switch. I hope it will help make your baby feel better! This forum is fantastic place to get loads of info. Keep us posted on how your doing

Yes, for many colitis sufferers, natural raw diets actually can be a magic bullet. I cannot say it is so for all, but I would say for most. And on these forums, there have been a number of sufferers over the years whose problems have been eliminated by natural food.

Worked wonders on my male with colitis but we had to go through it slowly and be patient. It didn't go away immediately and we had to stick to one source for a while before he got used to it but now he's better than ever.
