Boxer Pal
Hi,my Boxer is 7 months old and ever since we brought her we did not have any problems in a house..She is a crate trained and does not mind it at all.
Since she was wery god in a house we start to leave her in a room with closed door. That room is empty just her toys crate, and now a pillow too.Everything was good until one day we came back from work and found out that she made a big hole in a wall.We though that is some separation going on and put her back in crate while working.Again everything was OK for a week, but my girlfriend went shortly out of her sight(5 min) and when she came back in the room Romy(our dog) was just in a middle of making another one.Does anybody have any idea why is she doing this and how we can prevent this happening.

Hello fellow Ottawatonian! I am just west of Ottawa, about 15 minutes, wherer are you? Welcome to BoxerWorld! You will find a lot of great infomormation here...

As for Romy - all I can say is that I persoanlly have crated my dogs until they were at least a year old. Everytime I let them out before they were a year they would destroy the house too. They would eat the carpet, walls, beds,... everything but thier toys!

To train them not to eat the house, I would let them out when I was home and kept a close eye on them to train them what was appropriate to "eat" and what wasn't. Once I was comfortable that they knew what was right from wrong I would leave them unserpvised for one minute at the beginning and praise them when I returned for not eating anything. I gradually worked the time span up until I could eventually leave them all day. Still to this day Owen will eat paper if left out, and Tegan will eat food.

My suggestion would be to leave her crated for her own safety, and gradually work on leaving her alone for longer time periods.

I am sure that other people will have more info for you too.:D
