Walking 3 month old pups

We have had the formidable Tia for six weeks, she is nearly four months old. I am baffled by how long I should be walking her for. I have read that it is only one fifteen minute walk a day for one year. This does not seem right but hey I'm very new to the world of boxers! Can any one offer some advice please.

Approximately 5 minutes for each month of age. So at 4 months old 20 minutes is fine. This is leash walking, though. You can let her exercise much more off leash.
