Waiting till 8 weeks.

We put our deposit on Daisy(Fawn female) last Sunday. We have visited her twice since then. I grew up with a brindle male, but my wife has never owned a dog. We have 2 boys 5 and 9 who are very excited. We are waiting until the 21st of December which will be the 8 week mark and the begginning of our 2 and a half week vacation. We are getting a crate and have picked out a local vet that we know. This vet also carries the EVO food that I've read about. Any suggestions on anything would be appreciated.
