Hello,

My boxer Bella, she is about 5 months...Last week she kept vomiting up multiple times (might be something she ate in the kitchen) , so I switch her food to boil chicken, and it seem to solve the issue with the vomit part, but now that I switch back to her dog food, she eats her whole bowl of food but couple hours later she vomits out the food..Any suggestions?

Thanks

Im feeding her blue buffalo lamb/oatmeal....She is good with the boil chicken and rice..She does not vomit at all, but when i gradually start to add her dog food and officially just feed her dog food, she vomits hours later.

you may have to go completely grain free with her food. I would keep her on whats working best for her right now, and try to slowly introduce small amounts of a completely grain free food. Let her tummy get used to it over a period of a month or so.

I should keep her on the boil chicken and rice for a month? Than introduce grain free dog food?

I wouldn't do that, because just chicken/rice isn't going to provide all the nutrients she needs to grow and stay healthy.

What has worked for me in the past is to do rice/chicken for about 4 days (until stomach is completely settled- no vomiting or diarrhea). Then, slowly start adding in whatever dry food you are going to use. I've had great luck with Wellness Core and Acana (both grain-free). So, replace 1/2 cup of chicken/rice with the dry food. If she does well with this, after another few days- replace an additional 1/2 cup with dry food. Continue until she is on all dry and no chicken/rice

I agree with Johann. Just keep her on the chicken and rice for about 7 days and gradually transition her back to her regular food for 7 days. I had to do this for Daisy a few times since she has a sensitive tummy. Daisy is also sensitive to chicken so I gave her low-fat cottage cheese and rice instead as my vet recommended.

Agree. She could have an allergy to something in her dry food. When you do transition back, try Blue Buffalo Freedom Puppy. It's grain free. Enzo has healthier stools, more colorful and feeling coat, and overall, just acts better on grain free.

Thanks for the feedback, I will try it. How many times a day should I feed her with the boil chicken and rice?
