Thank you so much! I am so happy to have access to this site. I would have never known the danger of dips had I not been on BW for the past few months! I had a feeling in my gut when the vet said dip that it was a bad idea.
(My DH will be happy to hear this he was a little upset that we have only had her for a month, and have paied about 500.00 in vet bills.)

I will keep everyone posted on her progress. My baby girl has become quite the healing vibe hog.....thanks so much to all of you:)-amyb

I just caught this thread...sending vibes to Nate..and hugs to you! I really would start looking for a new vet..you could call the local rescues and see if they can recommend one..usually they are happy to do it...

Omg!! You had the same reactions you did with the dipping. If you are not confortable with the idea of dipping for ringworm get a 2nd option. However, Brody had mange to a point where we had to dip him. All I have heard is BAD reactions to this dipping. However, Thank god!! We didnt have any bad reactions besides he was tired. The vet told me this when I was on the phone "balling my eyes out" that sometimes people have to put there puppies thought this to clear up the issue. If we keep using the shampoo fine but its not going go clear the mange. WE had not choice not to. Im am very very glad we got thought it. Just this week we got the news that he was mite free!! Yeah! It was hard work but we did it.

I too got brody with mange. But he was my little man and I still wanted him. Our vet bill is up there too $500.00. But you know what no matter how much it would cost. Brody is all worth it. He is worth me working hard to get him better. loving him more and more each day.

Piper had ringworm and our vet prescribed us an antifungal ointment which we put on her 2 times a day. It took about 2 wks to clear up completely, but now you can't even tell. I have never heard of a vet recommending a dip for ringworm, and to tell you the truth I don't know if I would feel safe dipping my baby for anything, it just doesn't seem healthy. Good luck & we're sending some feel better soon {{{{{{{{{{{{vibes}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}.

Thanks! I have a new plan

Thank-you so much. I have decided NOT to dip her. I will keep everyone posted on how the shampoo and Lamisil works out. I am also switching vets after this wormicon vet removes my baby's staples from her unnessary biopsy. I am soooo thankful for BW, I would have never known how to handle this without the "Health Forum". You guys ROCK :) cheers-Amy

I have also heard that the flea control tablet Program can get rid of ringworm if you double the dose. It is off label though so check with your vet before you do this. I hope your baby is okay.
