Friday Diesel started doggie daycare. I thought it would be great for him to play and interact with dogs all day rather than staying in his pen. He came home limping and favoring his paws. I took a look and all his paws are red and some are bleeding. The guy at the daycare said alot of dogs there first day get sore paws from the peegravel they use in the play area and that his paws will get better and stronger. Is this true? Will his paws get stronger to wich he can stand playing in the gravel all day or is this a bad idea for him to stay there? Im confused cause I know he loved it there and I want him to keep going but dont want him sore after each time. This whole weekend he was not himself. Very tired and didnt feel like even going outside to go potty. Any help would be great. Thanks

Seems logical to me that they would "toughen" up... but I have no experience in this matter. Personally, I'm not sure that I would put him through the pain while adapting...
I'm sure that you will make the best decison for him! Good luck! cool2icon
