I would go to a holistic vet! I would turf the Nutro Ultra and try a different food. Try something with a different main meat source. When your dog is on antibiotics you should always give yogurt to repopulate the gut with good bacteria as antibiotics kill off the good bacteria as well as the bad.

I hope Bruno is feeling better soon.

You said he had blood chemistry tests done but has he specifically been tested for Heartworm. If so I'd be concerned about a false negative. May want to run the Heartworm test again.

Did they run test for Parvo, lyme disease, lepto. I would have them run all the obvious test they can just to at least clear them out of the picture. Most are just a simple sampling of the blood.

Well, we have bad news! After several tests, x-rays. blood, culture tests, they advised that his cilia in his lungs doesnt work! What that is: cilia is the hair like fibers that filter out the dust, bacteria, ect that he breathes in. When the cilia stops or doesnt work the filtering process stops! So his little lungs are filled with bacteria, infections and parasites. There is nothing they can do to fix my baby! The also did a sperm test to see if the cilia in the sperm was active and less than 10% moved, which is another big indicator!
My husband and myself are having a very very hard time with this. He was our little baby, our life!!! The doctors are putting him to sleep sometime today. There is just no hope for my little guy! Please say a prayer for him to have a happy life in doggy heaven! Thank you for all the support and concern. We both really appreciate it..

That is just awful and heartbreaking. And I'm sorry your sweet baby had to go through so much in his short life. Hopefully it makes it just a tiny bit easier to know you really tried your best to help him and he will now be in peace.

I have good news!
I just got off the phone with the vet again and they want to try an antibiotic for two weeks and then do a lung biopsy before we put him down! She is putting him on doxycyline (sp) for a week and then we will take him back for the surgery to make positive 100% this is what he has! She said that he isnt strong enough to do the surgery today that is the reasoning for the drugs for a week! They also think it may be triggered by his surroundings. We have a new house in a new eddition, kind of thing! Should I still do the yogurt thing with this drug?
I think we have witnessed a miracle!!! Thank you for all your prayers, I think they are working!
